Isaiah 43:18-19 addresses the principle of God asking his people to “forget the former things” before he can bring in the new. Isaiah, the prophet, is speaking for God when he says:
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”
The context of Isaiah 43:18-19 is God’s message to the people of Israel regarding the coming of their Messiah, Jesus Christ. The spirit of God’s message can be applied to your life now just as it was to the people of Israel’s then. You don’t need people who have left You, you don’t need things you dont have to live your life to the fullest. All you need is to not dwell on the past and hold on to want the future holds for you, you’re delaying yourself by holding on things of the past whereas you can just forget and focus on the plans that the Lord has for you (Isaiah 29:10) plans to make you prosper and give you the future you hope for. Have a good New day. Stay focused may God be with you ‘ll.
